Consular meeting of peace and concord
around the Way of the Holy GrailOn Wednesday, June 5, in an afternoon marked by interest in the rich history of the Holy Chalice, a special presentation was held at the Cathedral of Valencia addressed to various consulates of the city sponsored by Dr. Ana Mafé García, president of the Cultural Association The Way of the Holy Grail.
From the Cathedral Chapter, Dr. Sancho Andreu, in charge of the Cathedral’s Artistic Heritage, together with Dr. Bou, shared details about the legacy of this venerated relic, before an audience that included members of the Consular Corps of Valencia, headed by the Honorable Mr. Leopoldo López Máñez, Consul of Chile and Dean of the Consular Corps, accompanied by its management team and consular representatives from numerous countries.
The meeting was also attended by prominent business leaders, politicians, and figures from the cultural and religious spheres, who showed great interest in initiatives to promote the Holy Chalice. Among them were Lourdes Soriano Cabanes, from the Council of Chambers of the Valencian Community, and senior officials from the Generalitat Valenciana and the Provincial Council of Valencia.
The event served as a platform to emphasize the importance of cooperation and dialogue between the different spheres of society to raise awareness of Valencian heritage and history, with special emphasis on the Way of the Holy Grail. Speakers such as José María Chiquillo Focal Point of the UNESCO Silk Road, and Antonio Francesc Gaspar Ramos of the Valencia Provincial Council, highlighted the values of unity and the relevance of Valencia as a city open to the world.
Dr. Mafé presented awards to the speakers, including an association pin and a special book, culminating with a call for collaboration to improve accessibility and the pilgrim’s experience on the Way of the Holy Grail both in its Hispanic and international journey, laying the foundations for a future international alliance to publicize this wonderful itinerary.
